GUY LEECH at Gourmet in Gundy 2009

Posted in Uncategorized at 11:46 am by brccbec

Gourmet in Gundy for 2009 is being held on the weekend of September 12 & 13 and has the theme of ‘Let’s Get Physical’ aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle in rural areas. We are lucky to have sporting personality Guy Leech (7 time Australian Ironman) coming to Goondiwindi to appear at the local state & high schools to promote health to the towns youth, provide training workshops at the PCYC and motivational speeches across the gourmet weekend.

Along with the appearances from Guy Leech, this year is set to be full of entertainment. Racing at Gunsynd Park, Gourmet Art, ‘Up Close and Physical’ by Goondiwindi Performing Arts, cooking classes, olive oil tasting by Gwydir Grove Olives and Wine Appreciation with Greg Cosh. Along with 25-30 exhibitors on Sunday and live entertainment from Toowoomba band Déjà vu.

Chat to you all soon, Bec

this is new… BRCC AGM

Posted in Uncategorized at 6:44 am by brccbec

Hi Everyone, this is my first blog on what’s happening in the Border Rivers Chamber of Commerce. I will try and update this as often as possible though you will also see posts from Lori with updates on Gourmet in Gundy and other events going on around the Border Rivers. Di Hyson might also drop in to keep everyone updated on the Visitor Information Centre.

As the end of the financial year is drawing to a close, you will see the notice for the BRCC Annual General Meeting in the Argus this week. The AGM will be held at the Goondiwindi Training & Technology Centre on Lagoon St on Wednesday July 22nd at 6:00pm. Be sure to come along and get involved and stick around for the BBQ afterwards. For any further enquiries give me a call at the BRCC Office on 07 4671 3264.
